Who can claim money back for ‘unfair banking charges'?

Any individual or business that has paid ‘service fees’ to the bank for:

  • Exceeding overdraft limits
  • Returned direct debits
  • Refused Cheques

How do I know if I have paid any unfair fees?
If you have received any letters from your bank or credit card company stating that they are going to be raising a penalty charge on your account for exceeding your overdraft limit, for a returned direct debit or for any refused cheques. The likelihood is that you will have been charged an unfair fee (sometimes up to £40!).
In 6 years, these charges can become very large. It is not uncommon to have paid (or lost) £1000s to the bank, just from many small (or not so small!) charges of around £40.

Act now to claim back your UNFAIR CHARGES!
Bank charges have affected millions of people and could cost the banking industry billions of pounds in bank charge compensation. The OFT (Office of Fair Trading) has obliged banks to either put up or shut up. This has resulted in the banks changing tact, in order to save millions of pounds of profit.
If you have paid banks fees you must ACT NOW! You can apply online or call for our pack today.

The Law
The only charges that are legally allowed to be applied are ones that are enough to cover the actual losses sustained by the bank. The charges they apply should be made up of any administrative cost incurred, which is likely to be very low, and any interest lost by them having to cover the unpaid transaction from bank funds.

With this in mind it is obvious that the charge should therefore be linked to the value of the transaction, as the amount of interest lost would change depending on that value. So how come everyone who is with the same bank gets charged exactly the same for an unpaid Direct Debit, for example?

The banks have been overcharging customers for years, make sure that you start claiming YOUR money back today!
